“We have three boys, age 7, 5, and 3 years old. This is our 4th year with Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Preschool. It is hard to put into words what MPP has meant to our family and how wonderful the program is. Not only have our boys learned their ABC’s and 123’s, but Mt. Pleasant Preschool is an extension of our family. It’s a place where our boys are loved, nurtured and encouraged to be themselves and explore the potential God has given them. MPP is also a place where we have become a part of their family, where not only our boys have made friends but where teachers and parents have formed friendships. Our boys have always been challenged to reach their full potential, held accountable for their actions, and developed a great love of learning. I would encourage any family to strongly consider giving their preschooler a nurturing, well round Christian-centered education. It is one of the best decisions we have made for our boys. My husband and I cannot say enough about the school and the wonderful teachers who have great love and high expectations for the children and our boys. We are so proud and extremely blessed that we are a part of their school and family. Thank you, Mt. Pleasant UMC Preschool, for all you do.” -The Bachman Family – Chesapeake, VA
“I now have my third child enrolled at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Preschool and I am still impressed with the personal attention and expertise each child receives. The wonderful teachers, Ms. Kay, Ms. Cheri, Ms. Lisa and Ms. Linda have been important part of my children’s development. A full bodied curriculum is offered that includes top notch reading, writing, phonics, music classes, bible study and worship, specialized in house field trips, visits to the pumpkin patch, end of year celebration, arts and crafts, seasonal and holiday events, recess time in a lovely fenced-in play yard with swings. But most importantly, there are kind, dedicated, loving, trustworthy, diligent, and observant teachers present on a regular schedule. I would recommend Mt.Pleasant United Methodist Church Preschool to family, friends, and co-workers.” –C. Cravens of Chesapeake, VA
” I am amazed everyday at the progress my son has made since the beginning of the school year. Ms. Lisa and the other teachers are fantastic! I feel like my son is more than prepared for kindergarten.” –P. Vickers
T. Marin — My son hayden in 08 went here wonderful people and they were always helpful and understanding when i was a young single mom.
Rosemary Guentzel — My daughter had the privilege of being in the first class of Mt. Pleasant Preschool in 2000. Both Ms. Linda and Ms. Cheri were her teachers, and they are both still there today!! This preschool gave my daughter the foundation she needed to excel in school. She is now graduating from high school this year, 4th in her class!! We credit Mt. Pleasant Preschool for giving her the excellent start she needed! Thank you Ms. Linda and Ms. Cheri for being such wonderful teachers.
Anne Currin Pontius – My son had a truly wonderful experience this year at Mt. Pleasant UMC Preschool. Ms. Kay was absolutely excellent with the 3 year olds! She taught my son how to listen and how to play well with other kids. He learned his letters, letter sounds, and numbers along with bible stories. He always was excited when they had music class each week and the music programs from Christmas and the end of the year were fantastic. The teachers are truly loving, wonderful, and caring ladies who welcome these kids with open hearts.
Lisa M. Healey – The teachers at MPP are so loving and so wonderful with all the children. They are truly devoted and it is easy to see they love their time with the children and the children are so happy. Thank you all for everything you do for our children. They love you!!
Tina Johnson – What can I say about this preschool? I love it. I love THEM. I have three boys, Noah, Aaron, and Elijah. All three of them have come to this school, and Elijah will be there next year for the last year. ( Should I mention that I was a student at this preschool %$@ years ago? ) I homeschool my oldest two, but the preparation that they got with Miss Cheri and Miss Lisa was essential to me. Elijah is getting that now, and I am so thankful for that!! They mix fun and games with good, solid work. They are also some of the most loving ladies imaginable. To me, they are not just teachers, they are family. *sniff sniff* There I go….. I love you guys!!
